Designer Melissa Makris, infuses interiors with a
casual elegance and a timeless approach. Her
interior design vision is woven with architecture, history
and location with her client’s lifestyle in mind. She has a
natural ease integrating the simple lines of vintage pieces
with classic modern. Seeing beyond limitations, Melissa is
best known for her very creative solutions. Melissa brings
joie de vivre to her interiors.

After a successful career working as Creative Director for Bankers Trust, (specializing in branding and identity development), with Art Direction for TIME, New York Magazine, and Connoisseur, she launched Melissa Makris Interiors in 2006.

Her interior design work is featured in Connecticut Cottages & Gardens, HOME Magazine, Country Home, Better Homes and Gardens, Westport Magazine, and Clarkson Potter's The New Apartment Book.

An enthusiastic photographer, she creates fine art photography for the home. This collection includes botanicals, corals, dunes, seascapes, landscapes and portraiture.

She is a graduate of Parsons School of Design, in New York.
